Peter Rubi

Peter Rubi, 37, has a bachelor’s degree in film studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MFA in film directing from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

He has written, shot, produced and directed, in various capacities for over a hundred professional productions, specializing in independent film making and outdoorsy documentary work including the upcoming IMAX film about storm-chasing “Tornado Alley”.

In 2008, he was New Media Road Producer for the Obama Campaign, producing content on the road with Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates Barack Obama and Joe Biden. He recently wrapped a documentary project for the Weatherization Program under the Department of Energy’s Re-investment and Recovery Act and is currently developing a feature film about three clashing cultures engaged in the world of mixed martial arts in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
